History was not a history of progress, Many lives were lost, there was a estimated 10 million deaths and 20 million wounded. This was a very bloody war and many soldiers lived in very unhealthy conditions. No progress at all. I know fighting for what you want is important, but I don't see the need for lives lost & people killing eachother. picture of the war and the physical damage. Not only did many people die also the government needed money and they came out with Liberty Bonds/ Victory
Bonds- By buying these bonds, Americans were loaning the government
money. The government agreed to repay the money with interest in a
specified number of years. Bonds were a great thing at this time, but put a huge dept on the economy on World war 2 this was not progressive.
